Amnesty Mail is a creative campaign I and a team created to help raise awareness for Ni yulan, a housing rights activist in China. We campaigned in London for the day encouraging the public to send a letter to the Chinese government in support of her. We redesigned the classic British post box in amnesty yellow and had petitions that formed houses when signed.
My main role within the team was in the construction of the postbox and supporting equipment, it was constructed with an internal frame and flexable plywood wrapped around it. The dome of the postbox was sculpted out of blue foam.
